Attractions and Events
are among the core modules of TIM4 and designed for ease of use in assisting the
user with the dissemination of accurate information quickly and efficiently. The
module is fully compatible with the national TRIPS database which is easily
imported into TIM where it can then be utilised to provide information not only
on your destination, but also for otherwise unfamiliar areas.
The module contains most of the TRIPS fields, plus many others that are more
appropriate for 'local' use. Included are name and address details,
descriptions, prices, facilities, opening times, directions and booking
contacts. In addition full multimedia options are available, ie images and
sounds. The module includes auto dialling and quick addressing facilities.
The data can be edited, deleted and new records can be added. The same record
can also be marked for display on the PAT (Public Access Terminal) so that
modifications undertaken in the back office will immediately be displayed on
PAT. Full reporting facilities are provided with options for a report generator
for templates, lists and label printing. The data is held in standard tables and
is easily exported in a choice of formats for external use in other
applications. Typically this can be used for Internet publishing or dynamic
interfacing with third party products.
The mouse, keyboard or touch screen can be used to operate the menu choices.
A wide range of fast search options are provided including lists by names,
keywords or dates (Events only) and a combination of name, town, county,
keyword, facilities and dates (Events only). Common to all CTV modules records
can be accessed quickly and easily by simply typing the required name.
A single key press will print out single Information sheets on each record
containing a wide range of pre-set fields. Alternatively customised lists can be
created using the report generator. This allows you to select data fields and
position them on the page, not unlike mailmerge. For speed and ease of use these
formats can be saved as templates for further use.
