Designed for
destinations using TIM4 Market Response and thereby generating a
databases of customer enquiries. The archived data can then subsequently be used
as part of future mailing campaigns. The new Mail Sort module has been designed
to process these addresses so that the user can take advantage of discounts
offered by the Post Office for bulk mailings, (usually a minimum of 4,000
envelopes).
How?
When an enquiry is entered on TIM4 the software will automatically
generate a 'mail sort' code for each address based on the postcode; this is
irrespective of whether or not you are using postcode recognition software. To
qualify for postal discounts address data has to be sorted and categorised in
accordance with stringent Post Office specifications. Discounts given are also
dependent upon quantity of mailing and weight of item.
The new TIM4 Mail Sort module conforms to these Post Office
specifications and produces a 'Mailsort Planning Report' as well as 'Mailsort
Line Listings' - all designed and required by Post Office guidelines.
In addition Font sizes and styles are all user definable within TIM4
enabling the Post office standard for Optical Character Recognition (OCR) to be
easily adhered to. Labels prepared to this standard can generate an additional
discount from the Post Office.
