To keep a consistent flow of reliable and
up-to-date information passing through Midhurst's busy Tourist Information
Centre, Chichester District Council - which runs Chichester, Midhurst and
Petworth TICs - opted for the CTV Destination Management System solution.
Chichester originally computerised its own TIC in
1996 with a CTV single-user system, and has now reaffirmed its commitment to CTV
by upgrading the main office and simultaneously installing the same system at
Midhurst.
With the CTV Destination Management System, users
can look up a host of national events and attractions. In addition, the BR
Journey Planner gives a full itinerary planning service by rail, including
Eurostar services and London Underground.
Hundreds of brochure enquiries each week are
handled each week by the TIM response module in the main Chichester office.
