SUMMER 1999

USER GROUPS

In our latest round of User Group Meetings, we have been travelling round the country - to Burton on Trent for the Heart of England group, Salisbury for our West Country users, Morecambe to meet the Northern contingent and Tunbridge Wells for the South East England User Group meetings - and have come back to base with a clear idea of what YOU want from your software.

CTV's principle is that we should be user-led rather than technology-led when developing our software: we already have the technology, so we want to harness our knowledge and skill in the way that will help you best.

We have been delighted to see how well our new multi-media Public Access Terminal, PAT, has been received, with one site having already ordered its scanner in anticipation!

PAT's versatility, along with its national capability, are among the prime considerations for TICs, and we can see it will meet a real need.

In addition, our new TIM4 Accommodation Module has impressed our users thanks to its speed and flexibility, and the fact that the TRIPS data enables users to make bookings anywhere in the country, without needing to ring another TIC.

The way forward for tourism is to promote a consistent approach to destination management systems, so as to facilitate the exchange of information throughout the industry.

We're delighted that - as usual - CTV is leading the market with tried and tested software which will do just that!
