Maidstone Tourist Information
Centres are celebrating a double success, making CTV the supplier of DMS
software to the TIC of the year for the third year in succession.
The M20 Tourist Information Centre was announced
as Tourist Information Centre of The Year by the South East England Tourist
Board Millennium Tourism Awards 2000, with Maidstone Town Centre TIC awarded 3rd
place.
The M20 Tourist Information Centre, where all
staff speak at least one other European language, welcomes over 200,000 visitors
each year, providing a friendly face and invaluable tourist information to new
travellers of all nationalities.
Amanda Pink, Senior Information Assistant at
Maidstone M20 TIC said: "The M20 TIC aims to be number one. To us, our
customers are second to none".
Maidstone Town Centre TIC (also a CTV user) took
third place for its wide provision of information, including a hearing loop for
the deaf, a Braille map for the visually impaired and a printed guide for the
disabled, in the town centre.
Sending congratulations to Maidstone TIC,
Chris Sims of CTV said: "We are proud to be associated with the TIC Of
The Year for the third year running. Well done to Maidstone!"
