This unique module
contains development tools and templates for designing and creating databases on
your desktop computer. … This may be the only other database product you'll
ever need!
The flexibility of the database is unrivalled as the creation and setup for
every database is user definable within the module. The user not only specifies
the name for the database but also the data fields that are used (57 in all) and
where they are displayed on screen. Within a database the data can be further
sub-divided by use of 'sections,' e.g. with an Eating Out database you may have
sections for Indian, Chinese, Italian etc.
Similarly, if creating a membership database this can sub-divided into different
types. There is no limit to the number of databases you can create and you can
even have different versions of the same database. e.g. a commercial members
database may take one form in the accounts department but appear in a different
format for TIC counter use. The configuration options are endless. Databases can
also be marked for display dynamically on PAT (Public Access Terminals). The
module also supports image and sound files, auto dial and quick addressing
facilities.
Various search options can be used selecting on Keywords, Contact, section or
organisation, plus any combination of name, town, county or keyword. Single
information sheets can be printed that are pre-set with the necessary
information.
Alternatively a customised list can be printed using the report generator which
allows you to select data fields and position them on the page. For speed and
ease of use these formats can be stored as templates for later retrieval.
Such is the flexibility of the module you will never again be restricted by
fixed databases. Like all CTV programs the module is easy to use and
straightforward to operate. The module can be used within the Reporter for
interrogation and label generation. Data can also be exported in a variety of
formats for use with third party products.
